Why is rejuvenation important?
Rejuvenation helps to transform the entire body system so that it can function longer without problems.
It is natural for our health to slowly deteriorate as we age. Therefore, it is important to reset our body with the Ayurvedic rejuvenation program in order to maintain maximum health, independence and mobility. If our health is compromised, we cannot enjoy our life nor our work.
Today, the cost of old age is becoming more of a serious problem. As we age and our health begins to deteriorate, we may not be able to manage everyday life on our own. In this way, we may lose our independence.
If this happens, we may require placement in a nursing home. The cost of a place in a nursing home can be upwards of $400K AUD, plus ongoing costs. Even if we are able to afford this, the loss of independence is very distressing and contributes to our rapid deterioration. We become dependent on other people, pills or machines to help us sit down, get up, see, or even digest food. We are no longer free to live our life the way we want to, how we want to nor go where we want to.
The Ayurvedic rejuvenation program is used to prevent this complete loss of health and independence in older age. Participating in the rejuvenation program helps to repair and transform your body, allowing you to enjoy life on your own terms without the costs associated with deteriorating health.
Originally, it was recommended that everyone over the age of 60 or 70 undergoes the Ayurvedic rejuvenation program.
Today, we recognize that changes in our lifestyle and environment may work faster to deteriorate our health. That is why we now recommend that anybody can participate in the Ayurvedic rejuvenation program if they feel that they require it.
All of us have individual requirements. Some people may be young but always sick. They may be motivated and inspired to live their life to the fullest, but their health may not allow it. This can be distressing because this person is missing out on life. Rejuvenation is a necessity for them, regardless of their age. There is no reason for them to wait until they are 60 before they take control of their health and their life.
Supporting Graceful, Healthy Ageing
Most people as they age would like to stay in their home and be independent, enjoying a high quality of life in retirement. Being able to take pleasure in daily activities, hobbies, family and friends requires health, mobility and good cognitive function.
The Yatan Rejuvenation Program is ideally suited to managing progress towards this stage of your life, ensuring you are in the best health you can be. The alternatives – hospital stays, moving to aged care facilities, managing chronic lifestyle diseases are all costly, not only in monetary terms, but in loss of quality of life.
✘ Rejuvenation is not…
Today, there are many misconceptions about what rejuvenation is. Often confused with anti-aging treatments or spa therapy, rejuvenation is sometimes interpreted as the effect given by face and body creams, botox injections, or massage. But this is not the case, as such treatments are only superficial, partial and temporary.
✓ Rejuvenation is…
True rejuvenation is a process of repair, regeneration and revitalisation at a cellular level. Biological activity is supported to allow optimum function. This process can enhance overall health and well being of mind and body significantly, providing greater vitality, energy, stamina and strength.
A Holistic Concept of Rejuvenation
The YATAN Rejuvenation Program, created by Ayurvedic Vaidya Raman Das Mahatyagi, is based on the principles and practices of holistic rejuvenation.
Particularly in the case of Ayurveda, rejuvenation is not a new concept. In fact, people would frequently seek rejuvenation treatments from the ancient physicians of Ayurveda as far back as 3,000 years ago!
Rejuvenation and natural cleansing and detoxification techniques were widely known across ancient India as a means of healing the body, mind and spirit, and also as a method of preventing illness and disease, maintaining good health into old age.
Holistic rejuvenation is:
- All-natural
- Plant-based
- Customised to the individual
- A preventative measure against disease
- A natural detox and tonic for the system
- Non-toxic
- Side effect free
- Targets biological repair and support at a cellular level
The Yatan Rejuvenation Program : using the Ayurvedic approach for Health, Vitality & Longevity.
The Ayurvedic Approach
Rejuvenation therapy is one of eight branches of medicine in Ayurveda. It focuses on health and longevity into old age through improving metabolism, vitality and immunity. Ayurveda recognises the importance of the individual constitution (dosha) in planning your rejuvenation program, so your program will be tailored to target your specific health concerns.
Initially a detox program focuses on detoxification of all the organs (digestive tract, liver, skin, eyes, ears, etc.) to clear the channels of the impurities which are interfering with normal function. Following this, your body’s individual organs, tissues and systems are addressed according to the specific imbalances of your body type.
Note that this program does not include Panchakarma treatments as part of the detoxification and rejuvenation processes. Natural detoxifying methods using Ayurvedic medicines, specific diet and yoga techniques are used, making this program easier to fit into a modern, busy lifestyle.
The YATAN Process
Our Rejuvenation Program has been designed around the YATAN process – a series of five healing modalities that work synergistically in creating a healing protocol that targets your mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being holistically.
Yoga
which will assist with the circulation and absorption of nutrients thanks to the various poses (asanas) as well as breathing techniques (pranayama).
Yoga is highly geometrical and therefore helps the body align to the angles of each organ, hence assisting the flow to and from that organ.
Regular practice builds strength and has a detoxifying effect that also increases flexibility.
Ayurveda
which nourishes the entire system through the consumption of herbal remedies with anti-stress, adaptogenic and memory enhancing properties.
Ayurveda also has its own detox modality; a system designed to flush and remove toxins (ama) from different organs and tissues of the body.
Once the ama is eliminated, the 7 tissues (dhatus) can then repair, revitalise and regenerate.
Tantra
which is known to assist with emotional issues, but also with deeper karmic imbalances. These imbalances create blockages which can adversely affect your health as you keep repeating unhealthy patterns.
Tantra involves practising mantras for emotional karmic problems. Negative emotions that are not transformed manifest in physical ways, causing many health problems.
Astrology
which can aid in the understanding of why things are happening at any given moment, health problems included.
The astrological aspect of the program includes an exploration of how planetary effects may influence your life situation. Your time and place of birth is related to various planetary positions at that moment in time, revealing information about your life and health. It can be determined whether these planetary influences are having a positive or negative effect on you. Modifications may need to be made to your program based on this information.
Nature
which reinforces the body’s electromagnetic field and aligns the body, mind and spirit with the universe. Our bodies have an affinity towards the natural elements (which they too are comprised of), making natural resources such as plants, foods, and herbs an ideal remedy no matter what the problem.
